Each scholarship includes a field internship, so that students spend time in the work as well as the classroom.
The scholarships are part of a wider commitment to the best people, from anywhere.
Fertivero already works with four university partners, in China and Pakistan, and runs its research from six R&D locations.
What happens next
Details of how to apply will be published here before the first round opens.
