Who owns the data from my fields once it is on a platform?

It is the right question to ask before you upload a single record. Soil results, spray logs, yield maps and lease details describe your business more completely than almost any other document you hold.
The field data belongs to the farmer. Fertivero uses it to advise that farmer. We do not trade against them with it, and we never sell it. This is a design rule for everything we are building, not a footnote.
Adaptive AI learns from each field. That learning is only worth having if the grower stays in charge of what it learns from. We are designing FieldWise AI so that every alert carries its reason and the records behind it remain yours.
SCALE, the farmer's app we are building, is designed around sharing on the farmer's terms. You decide whether your agronomist sees soil records, whether a dealer sees a pest alert, and whether a buyer sees anything at all.
We are building HARVEST, the marketplace app, to connect a grower's harvest with the right buyer, at home or abroad. The same principle will apply. Who buys, when and at what price is the grower's call, and you will decide what a buyer sees.
Data rules differ between countries, and we will follow each market's law. But the principle will not change: one standard, every market, with the farmer's ownership explicit.
If a platform cannot answer the five questions above in a short paragraph, keep your records elsewhere.
